  Dear Customer,

High quality badger shaving brushes, also silver tip badger, should be handled very gently. We would like to recommend the following to ensure a long life for your brush:

1. Whenever you use the brush – whether to work up the lather, or apply it to your face – do not press too hard against the soap dish or your face. You run the risk that the fine badger hair will break by-and-by.
2. When lathering, the lather should be applied to the face with the tip of the brush with sideways swinging movements (like a painters brush), not circular movements.
3. It is important to clean the brush thoroughly after each use with clear, warm water, also between the badger hair. Through soap or lather residue, mites and bacteria can develop.
4. Make sure that the brush is at least twice a week completely dry before using it again.
5. For thorough drying, it is best to hang the brush upside-down (with the bristles down), for example in a razor stand. Air should circulate around the badger hair from all sides, residue water should be transferred to the tip of the brush, and then drip off, rather than accumulate where the brush head is attached to the handle.
6. If in wet (even cleaned, but still wet) condition, do not put the brush in a closed container (e.g. toilet bag or even a bathroom cabinet).
